If Life is a Competition
Thursday, July 07, 2005 by Mariskova
If life is a competition, then everyone you know is your competitor.
You will think that everyone is racing against you.
Then you will never feel enough just to be who you are or what you are now,
for your competitors are sneaking around the corner.
You've got to be better than anyone else you know, or even be the best.
You will think that everyone is racing against you.
Then you will never feel enough just to be who you are or what you are now,
for your competitors are sneaking around the corner.
You've got to be better than anyone else you know, or even be the best.
You can't see when someone is sincere because you'll think he is up to something.
You can't see when someone is sharing because you'll think he is showing off.
You can't see when someone is teaching because you'll think he is insulting you.
You won't see the beauty of sincerity, and sharing, and caring, and knowledge, and love,
because all you can see is,
everyone is
racing against you.
competing against you.
outdoing you.
It's really tiring, but that's the price for taking life as a competition.
It's even more lonesome, for you are without friends.
For a friend: 'Dear, I'm not into it. I will never be.'
